Welcome to the TeaLove blog. Having recently returned from the World Tea Expo in Las Vegas, and Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC where I continued my “tea training” through STI, I realized that it’s probably time to start sharing some of the fantastic tea info/treasures I have found. This is officially my first post.
In May of 2007, I traveled to Atlanta to attend the first of set of Foundation Level Tea Training classes offered through The Specialty Tea Institute. I spent 2 days diving into the mysterious, fascinating world of tea, its production and learning about the Fab 5: white, green, oolong, black and pu’erh. I just happen to be standing in line and met a lovely woman (a school teacher from NC) who casually mentioned that she had recently purchased an online tea company out of Seattle. I thought it was a great idea and decided to search for one myself. In July 2007, I purchased Pearl Fine Teas from a Canadian couple and have been living the tea life ever since.
I’ll be blogging about new teas and other cool info as well, in the days to come.
